Alkanet 100 gram
How to Use:
Mordanting: Mordant the wool with alum for a more intense and long-lasting color.
Dyeing Process: Soak the chopped roots in alcohol or spiritus for 24–48 hours to extract the dye. For the darkes and most intense colors, use 50 gram per 100 gram wool.
Reusing the Dye Bath: After the first dye bath, you can reuse it 1 to 2 more times for lighter shades. The more times the bath is used, the lighter the final color will be.
Tips:
The intensity of the color can vary depending on the pH and hardness of the water in the dye bath.
Keep in mind that, as with all natural dyes, final color results can vary depending on the type of wool, the mordant used, and other factors such as water quality and temperature.
